The job in a nutshell

As a Portfolio Risk Analyst you will be part of a team dedicated to investment risk management activities in support of Aegon Asset Management’s (AAM) portfolios. Working in the Portfolio Risk Management (PRM) department, the team consists of 17 investment-focused risk professionals and programmers located across four offices in three countries. You will report to a senior member of the Global PRM team.

Key Responsibilities

  • You are principally focused on working with senior colleagues to support modelling, monitoring and reporting of portfolio risk.
  • You will support business as usual activities and ad hoc requests.
  • Support creating investment risks reports and analyses of Fixed Income products.
  • Compliance with all Aegon Asset Management policies and standards.

As a Junior Portfolio Risk Analyst you will have the following qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of working experience and a finished Master's degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Finance & Investment, Economics, or other finance related field.
  • Strong interest in financial markets and knowledge of market risk metrics VaR, volatility, tracking error, duration, liquidity, beta and correlation are preferable.
  • You are interested in starting or completing a CFA, PRM or FRM.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential. Development experience using VBA, Phyton or similar languages an advantage. Familiarity with SQL is a plus.
