Within our Mainfreight culture, we find it important to train and develop our interns. As an intern you are part of the team, where you are given responsibilities and plenty of opportunities to develop yourself.

As our intern, you will support all European Mainfreight 48 branches. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close knit team, gain exposure across the business, and support Mainfreight Europe to take our culture, quality, safety and team members to the next level. Your role

This is a broad role with numerous responsibilities including (but not limited to!!):

  • Preparing training material and ensure every training runs smoothly (for example, preparing the room, the handouts)
  • Help turn business goals into action in a variety of projects around: safety, leadership, people development…
  • Help with Health & Safety reports
  • Improving our Learning Management System (no previous knowledge required)
  • Sharing vacancies around the business to help our team members achieve their dream position

You enjoy building strong relationships with people all around the business. Being part of the Training & Development team, you will wear many hats and flexibility to do so is crucial to your success. You must be proactive and willing to also help the team when needed. You will also have the possibility of spending some time in the business to experience the processes first-hand.

In addition to the above:

  • You are a clear, proactive communicator and your written and spoken communication is effective in English. Any other language is definitely welcome
  • This role is full time and you might be able to travel to other branches in Europe when needed
  • This job demands flexibility, it is not a 9:00 to 17:00 job, there will be days where you’d need to stay longer/come earlier and then other days you’d be able to come in later
  • This is a great first step into our business. The journey doesn’t need to end with your internship.
